I'm still in awe of this little human being that is growing in my tummy. In a mere six weeks, our baby went from the size of a bean:
To this:
A dramatic little baby with a hand over his or her brow! It is such an amazing experience. We're 15 weeks today, and I'm starting to feel much better. My 14 week appointment went well, and we were able to hear our little one's heart beat again. It is always such sweet music to my ears.
The doc said I had gained 2 pounds during my first trimester. And I can tell you exactly were those pounds came from. . . hot donuts.
If the baby is craving donuts, and we happened to pass the donut chain with their 'hot now' sign on, then I can't deny the baby what it wants. Ha! Seriously though, have you ever had a warm donut? Room temperature donuts are nothing to write home about, but bring me a warm dozen, and you're my favorite.
Moving on. In other news, I have thoroughly been enjoying our Christmas decorations. We decorated our Christmas tree sometime around December 1st, so that we could get maximum enjoyment out of it (and maximum enjoyment we have had!). Our house feels warmer, brighter, and cozier. Christmas decorations are magical. And so is this time of year. Happy Birthday, Jesus.
