Three Months with Annabellie

Dear Annabella,
You are 3 months old today!  This morning you woke up at 4:45 AM to be fed, so your daddy and I cuddled you, thanked God for you, and wished you a happy 3 months.  You are such a blessing to us, and we can't even remember what life was like before you.  It has been a magical (and a little tiring) 3 months!

Things you've been up to this past month:

• You weigh 12 pounds and are 22 inches long.  We weighed and measured you at home because I wanted your three month stats.  You're in the 10th percentile for length and 50th (wow!) percentile for weight!  Needless to say, you're a good eater.
• You've moved up to size 2 diapers and wear 3 month clothes. You wear some 3-6 month onesies, so it won't be long before you're in 6 month clothes.
• You are sleeping in your own room now.  You still like to have your head elevated, so you sleep in your bouncy seat in your crib.  There's nothing high maintenance about you. :)
• We had you on medicine for reflux for a little while. It didn't seem to make a big difference, so we stopped.  You still spit up quite a bit, but you're getting better day by day.
• You started talking and singing to us this past week.  It sounds like you're trying to carry on a conversation, and it is just precious.
• You are on somewhat of a schedule.  You feed sometime in the early morning, 9 AM, Noon, 3 PM, 6 PM, and 8:30 PM.  A couple of nights this past week you slept for 10 hours straight (9 PM to 7 AM)!  You usually sleep until 5 or 6 AM, but we hope longer sleep periods are right around the corner.
• You still have big blue eyes, just like your daddy.  You're losing some of your hair on the top of your head. It looks like blond hair is growing back in, but only time will tell.
• As far as we know, you're keeping your bilirubin down.  I was so used to your jaundice coloring, that lately you're looking pale to me, but you're just a healthy baby!

• You are such a happy baby when you wake up in the morning.  You smile and talk while I change your diaper.  After you feed you just look around and smile.  I think you are a morning person.
• You still LOVE to be held.  You are a little cuddle bug, so your daddy and I are soaking up as much time as we can.  You sleep best in someone's arms, and don't like to be put down.
• You are a social butterfly and love to meet new people.  If you're fussy and someone new comes into the room, you focus on the new person and start smiling at them and cooing.
• You love to go on walks in your BOB stroller.  You typically fall asleep 10 minutes into the walk, and then fuss when we get home.  You like to be moving.
• You also love bath time.  I'm excited to take you to the beach in September because I think you're going to enjoy the water.
• We've had quite a few people say you look like a cabbage patch doll.  You're our little chubby baby, and we think you're perfect!

We love you so much, Annabella.  Your daddy and I feel so blessed to be your parents, and are thrilled to call you our own!
