When we were expecting Annabella, I always thought "Oh, I'll just make her baby food, clean the house, cook dinner, play with my sweet girl, wash and dry the laundry, and have plenty of time to do everything I need to do."
Then, Annabella arrived.
So, things with a baby are a little busy, and I wasn't so sure about making her baby food. Then, we visited my cousins, Robert and Nichole. They had been making Cora's baby food in this baby cooker. It looked wonderful, but I wasn't sure we could afford it at the time. So, I decided to give it a go, and cook/ puree the food myself.
I was pleasantly surprised that it hasn't been difficult at all! I usually make a batch of baby food while I'm making lunch or cooking dinner.
I like using this website: http://www.nurturebaby.com/
and this book my mom bought me: Feed Me I'm Yours
| Cooking pears |
| Pureed pears |
Once it is pureed, I stick it in the fridge and feed her from it for about 2 or 3 days. Then, I freeze the leftovers in ice cube trays.
Voila! Butternut squash in ice cube form. For the record, Annabella loves butternut squash.
Annabella's food stash. Yum.
Someone loves her homemade baby food!

I LOVE this post! I keep telling people how nerdy I feel that I'm SO excited to make Annabel's baby food! But I seriously can't wait. There's just something about giving your baby the absolute best that is so rewarding:) I know it's going to take extra time and effort, but I think it will be so worth it. Thanks for further confirming that!
