Brian had has three days off from work, which has been AMAZING. We decided to celebrate by taking Annabella for her first trip to the zoo. I wasn't sure if Bels would care about the animals or not, but she really seemed to enjoy herself.
She pointed at most of the animals and waved at the monkeys. I think the birds and monkeys were her favorite. I'll try to post a video I have of her waving at the monkeys.
It rained Friday morning, so it was overcast until about noon. We went early before Annabella's nap time, so not only did we beat the crowds, but we also beat the heat. It was a perfect little family outing.

We wanted to do something fun on Saturday too, so we headed out for a family picnic at the botanical gardens. We found a shady spot to enjoy our lunch, and then had fun admiring the flowers while strolling around the gardens.
A perfect weekend with two of my favorite people.
