28 years and 28 weeks

I started this post when I was 28 weeks.  Today I'm 29 weeks and 3 days, and I couldn't be more thankful.  We're celebrating each day that Annabella stays in my belly!

I spent my 28th birthday in a hospital bed, and there is no place I would have rather been.  All the doctors and hospital staff have been taking very good care of our daughter.  Annabella gave us a scare on March 10th (really, the week of March 7th - March 10th). My water ruptured and we thought she was going to arrive very early.  Thankfully, she is still in my belly as I type, and we're trying to get her to stay there as long as she's healthy.  We appreciate prayers for our little family of three!  We are so thankful that God has our sweet girl in his hands.

I'm at Brian's hosptial (I like how it sounds like he owns the place. . .he doesn't?), so he is able to stop by during the day.  He has been on Cardiology this month, which has been hectic and stressful. I've actually been able to see him more during the day since I've been at the hospital (which I think I have been enjoying a little too much).  My mom and Brian's mom both drove out when we called them Thursday evening.  My mom has been staying with me at the hospital when Brian is on-call, and hasn't decided if she's going to leave.  I love having her here, I just know that they miss her at work too!

Brian surprised me with a new camera for my birthday. I've been taking pictures of the hospital walls, etc.  They're not very exciting pictures, but it's fun to get to experiment with my gift!  We wanted a new camera to take pictures of our sweet girl. You just can't get good close-ups with the little digital hand-helds (or maybe you can if you buy a better camera than we did).
We're celebrating each week that Annabella continues to grow in utero with a dessert.  I guess we're trying to fatten her up a bit?  And hopefully all the fat goes to her and not her momma.  For 29 weeks we got a chocolate cake from Sam's club (the one in the refrigerated section).  It's delish and I highly recommend it.

We're praying we make it to 30 weeks.  Not only it is great for our girl, but there's a rumor we might also get donuts. :)

Thanks for the update, Susannah! We're thinking of you daily and hoping Miss Annabella stays quite content where she is for a while.

Here's to many more doughnuts, cake and other sweets!
