Motherhood

Annabella Carol has arrived!  She was born on April 22nd, 2011 at 7:40 AM. Our little peanut weighed 4 pounds and 14 ounces.  We had a scheduled c-section since our little lady was breech and didn't have much fluid left around her (hence the manual maneuvers to turn her probably wouldn't have worked).  We feel SO incredibly blessed and fortunate. We had lots of family and friends with us on the day of her birth to welcome her into the world.

4 generations (Nana with the christening gown she made for me)
We're adjusting to being a family of three.  Sleepless nights and recovering from a c-section aren't the best combination, but we're making it work.  Annabella is a strong girl and only spent 24 hours in the NICU.  We've moved to the step down unit, so she's focusing on eating and growing.  She's our little miracle!

Brian and I can't get enough of her sweet little face.  We think she's an angel, plus some. . .but then again, we are her parents :)  Our next step is to get this little sweetie home from the hospital.  We're hoping it's only another week or so.  Grow, Annabella, grow!
