Six Months (Happy Half Birthday!)

Dear Annabella,
How in the world are you already six months old?!?!?  The past six months have flown by, and your Daddy and I can only imagine how much fun the next six will be!  You keep us on our toes and amaze us every single day.  My favorite thing right now is your beautiful smile.  You are everything I dreamed you would be, and more.

Things you have been up to this past month:
  • You weigh 14 lbs 10 oz (between 10th and 25th percentiles) and are 24 inches long (5th percentile).  You are following your own little growth curve and you're doing great.
  • You wear size 3 diapers and 6 month clothes.
  • Since your reflux is quite a bit better, you started sleeping flat in your crib just before you turned five months old.  I thought the transition was going to be hard, but you were happy to sleep flat and have been enjoying rolling from side to side.
  • When you're sleeping in your crib, you typically rotate yourself 90 degrees and rest your feet on the crib bumper.
  • At the beginning of this month you went for a ride in your stroller without a car seat. What a big girl!
  • You love to be read to.  You focus on the pictures and concentrate.

  • You met your Great-Grandma Morris, Great-Aunt Ann, and cousin Nate for the first time.  You loved being held and snuggled by them!

  • You enjoy spending independent playtime on your mat.  You love to talk and look at your octopus (who hangs in the middle).
  • You're working on sitting up on your own.
  • The little coos and noises you make are just precious.
  • Your hands are always in your mouth, so we're just waiting for a tooth to pop up one day soon.
You are our joy, Annabella Carol, and your daddy and I love you so.  We pray you continue to grow healthy and strong.

I love you more than elephants love peanuts,
Momma

I love these letters, Sus. So sweet! I see you've got the burp cloth on the boppy too. Smart thinking! And Annabel has recently discovered her fist and has been sucking on it all the time! So cute:) Can't wait to see you guys!
